Square Enix has recently developed a cross platform engine which can be played on their Nintendo DS and also their Nintendo Wii. If that makes absolutely no sense to you I can make it simple. You can play games on your Wii with your friends that don’t have a Wii, as long as they have a DS (of course internet connection or LAN would be needed to accomplish that.) Currently the only game available to do this, running on the Pollux Engine, is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time.

So lately there’s been a lot of commotion over Games like Dead Space, Left 4 Dead, and Resident Evil 5. The question is “Which gives you the best ‘horror’ feel?” Left 4 Dead is a fast paced, violent, and pop-out Zombie apocalypse survival game, and is perfect for parties of four. Then we look over to see Dead Space, the overly ambitious game, screaming in our faces. When I rented Dead Space I was reluctant to even open up the box. The disc itself is scary, and the menu screen gave me the chills. Playing that game was so smooth and so scary; it felt like I was watching a horror movie. And then there’s Resident Evil 5, the newest game in the Resident Evil franchise, which shows so much promise it’s almsot giggle inducing.

When I bought Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion I thought that the lack of gold was a huge problem. I could not buy new weapons, ammo for my bow, or repair my magical armour since I was not a Journeyman of Armourer. So I went through the game – or through levels 1-10 – without good armour and attack power. How did I get gold you ask?

Most people don’t pay attention to the game world while they play a very entertaining game. In games like SimCity, and Spore the world is essential. You even create the world and all who inhabit it in Spore. But what about those large Role Playing Games like Elder Scrolls I-IV, and Fallout 1, 2, and 3? What about their worlds? And what about Action and Adventure games like Assassin’s Creed, Grand Theft Auto 1-4, and Mercenaries 1&2 and their worlds? And let’s not forget those few 1st Person Shooters that catch our hearts, like Half-Life.

I don’t know about many others but I never really found a flash drive I liked. When I came by these I just laughed. The designer flash drive makers at Mimoco have made a little splash with collectible stylized Flash Drives. If I was ever going to buy one, it would definitely be from these people. They have Halo characters, Star Wars characters, Domo characters, Happy Tree characters, Community Created characters, Artist Crossover characters, Licensed Crossover characters, AND originally created characters. All in the form of a lovable little USB Drive. There top seller is C-3PO, so have fun checking that website out, they have more then you would imagine.
In other website related news I just got the forums up in working. We still need to decide the whole Category -> Forum layout but it will come with time.

Bumptop is a 3D physics enabled Desktop. I discovered it from a post by my friend over at TechMirage.com and had to throw it up on here. Everyone should give this a try in my opinion, it is very fun, and I believe most people would enjoy it way more than their normal boring desktops. Bumptop has a free and a not so free ‘Pro’ version that only costs $29. If you like the results of the free enough I am sure you wont mind indulging for the 30 bucks but it really just depends on if you think it is worth it.

The Settlers II is a classic in my opinion. When this free Gold Edition came out I played it, but a lot of people ended up being unable to track it down on the internet. Even out of those that managed to find a copy on the internet found it difficult, if not impossible to get it to work on their system. If you already know about the game and you enjoyed it you should try and find a copy of “The Settlers II: 10th Anniversary” which is basically a 3D version of the Gold Edition with all the features you loved, Multiplayer, and a small expansion as far as controlling your military and soldiers go. (if you’ve played you know how frustrating that was) In the gallery of this post I have included some pictures from both games.
