The Sequel of the before mentioned ‘1942′ and also released by Capcom in 1987 (3 years after 1942.)  The game is basically an upgraded version which is no surprise.  With the ability to generate and use passwords, upgrades (out of and in flight), and slightly better visuals.  As in 1942 this game only uses 2 buttons with a slight difference.  The first button fires like normal, and the second button either does a roll (loop-the-loop) or if available uses 1 of 3 special attacks.  Unlike 1942 you only have 1 life and a refillable energy bar.  Killing a complete set of red fighter planes results in a Power Up.  The game is a great example of how over a few years the NES was progressing in terms of how complex their games were becoming.

With 16 levels, 11 air-to-sea battles/5 all aerial battles, your goal is to make an assault on the Japanese that bombed the US Aircraft Carrier.  The setting for the game is the Pacific Theater of WW2.
